About this tool

The Email Thread Generator turns a short brief into a full back-and-forth email chain. Give it the overall context, list the people involved, and jot down the beats you want the conversation to hit, then hit generate. It writes a believable thread complete with senders, recipients, subjects, timestamps, and reply-by-reply bodies in the tone you choose, from buttoned-up professional to gloriously passive-aggressive. Everything is fictional and made up on the spot, so it is perfect for filling in UI mockups and demos, drafting writing prompts, building sample or test content, or just entertaining yourself. Nothing is sent and no real inboxes are touched.

How to use the Email Thread Generator

  1. Describe what is going on in Overall context, then pick a Tone and the Number of emails.

  3. Under The beats, list what should happen in the order you want it to unfold.
  4. Click Generate thread, then use Copy thread to grab the result.
  5. To keep the story going, add new beats and click Continue generating.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Email Thread Generator free?

Yes, and you can generate and continue threads without an account. Signing in is optional and saves each thread to your account so you can reopen it from the sidebar, while Pro subscribers also get a higher-quality writing model.

What is an email thread?

An email thread is a chain of messages grouped under one subject line, where each reply follows the one before and usually starts with "Re:". Sample threads are handy for filling inbox mockups, demoing an email app, seeding test data or giving a writing class a realistic scenario.

Is my brief stored anywhere?

Your brief is sent to our server, which passes it to an AI model to write the thread. If you are signed out, nothing is saved to an account. If you are signed in, the brief and thread are saved to your account until you delete them.

Are the people and email addresses real?

No. The AI is told to keep everything fictional and to invent addresses from the names you give, like first.last@company.com. Nothing is ever sent to a real inbox, but avoid putting real people's private details in your brief.
