How is the time between two dates calculated?

The calculator measures the full span from start to end and reports it in each unit on its own. A gap of 400 days can show as 1 year, 13 months, 57 weeks and 400 days, rather than a combined answer like 1 year and 1 month, with partial units rounded down.

Does it matter which date comes first?

No. The result is always shown as a positive amount of time, so you can enter the two dates in either order and get exactly the same answer.

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Times are read in your device's local time zone. If the span crosses a daylight saving change, the hour count reflects the real time that passed, so that day counts as 23 or 25 hours rather than 24.

Is it free, and do I need an account?
