Two colours can be far apart in their codes and still look alike to the eye. This generator uses iwanthue, which works in a colour space modelled on human vision and spreads colours apart so each one is easy to tell from the rest, which matters for charts, maps and category labels.
The seed fixes the random starting point. Use the same seed with the same settings and you get the same palette back, which is handy for rebuilding a palette later or sharing it with a teammate.
Each colour is a HEX code such as #4f8ac9. Copy Palette puts the whole set on your clipboard as a comma-separated list, and Download saves a plain text file with one code per line.
Quality controls how hard the generator works to space the colours apart. Higher values can give slightly better separation but take longer, so raise it when you need lots of colours and keep it low for quick ideas.
